Brief Description of the Project

SPACE HELLAS participated at the Enterprises Union “SPACE HELLAS S.A. - ΑLAPIS MEDICAL & DIAGNOSTICS S.A”., which, after a public tender issued by the SII - SEIF., undertook on February 2010 the provision of information systems and software as well as the provision of all required services in order to install, configure, interconnect and support the operation of the “Biopathological Laboratories Information System of selected SII key Health Units”.

The Laboratory Information System (LIS) will host at least applications and data necessary for:

  • The processing of the Biopathological Laboratories managing role of each key Health Unit.
  • Servicing the patient-centered character of the system (e.g. patient identification, continuity of care, integrated referral management in all SII Health Units).
  • Other data that require central management (e.g. codifications, appointments, statistics etc.).

The project individual objects are the following

  • Structured cabling system in each of the 24 Health Units

  • Laboratories subsystem including a small administration-monetary system which will cover the administrative-monetary-operational needs of the labs in each SII Health Unit.

    It is about a small extent subsystem, which will serve basic lab functions. More specifically, it is a an intra-laboratory order tracking tool to avoid phenomena like expired reagents, insufficiency of reagents or consumables by negligence, confirmation of implementation of orders and pending issues that may arise during contact with the supplying companies. The capabilities offered are the following:

    -Completion of materials order forms, with the option of using a list, which will include inside or outside conventional materials. 

    -System update and storing of who made the order (entering to the system with his password) and on which date.

    -Search for a specific order by date or material category or other info. 

    -Update on implementation (or not) of the order by ordered material and a note of the receipt date. 

    -Expiration date of a reagents or consumables batch.

    -Capability to inform about materials ordered and their receipt is pending.

    -Order printing.

    -Pending list printing.

    -Keeping a file of orders and their implementation.

    -Keeping a file of contracts

  • Installation, training, productive operation & technical support services.

  • System Software and Data Base Software

  • Applications Communication Subsystem (interconnection) of 24 Health Units.
