Space Hellas appoints Sotiris Karagiannis as Head of Technology Innovation
Space Hellas announces the appointment of Sotiris Karagiannis as the company's Head of Technology Innovation, aiming at the exploration of innovative technological developments and business opportunities in the global markets.
Technological progressions in Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain and Cybersecurity, as well as the digital world of IoT, Smart Cities and Digital Citizens, bring new challenges that Space Hellas has a grown interest in investing to. This is expected to accelerate the company's growth in the digital transformation market.

Sotiris Karagiannis is a graduate of Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science from the University of Edinburgh, UK. He joined Space Hellas in 2001 and has held several positions of responsibility both technological and commercial. He has held the positions of Senior Solutions Architect, Product Design Manager, Business Development Manager, and more recently, Commercial Director of Northern Greece. He has significant experience in Software Development and System Integration. In the past eight years, he has been mentoring and advising startups in Europe and Silicon Valley on technologies like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, software security and Blockchain and in the fields of Smart Cities, e-Gov, e-Health, Fintech & Team Collaboration, with vendors such Microsoft, Cisco, Oracle, IBM, Dell EMC, NetApp, and others.
