Space Hellas expands the SenseOne Iot platform with a Managed Data Lake service for leveraging industrial data through Artificial Intelligence

Space Hellas is expanding the SenseOne Iot platform with a new Managed Data Lake service as part of its strategy to develop Applied Intelligence and IoT solutions. The service is designed for organizations in complex business environments, such as industry, energy, hospitality and retail, where managing and using large volumes of data is critical to digital transformation.

The initiative addresses a broader market need. In recent years, companies have invested heavily in digitalizing production processes, deploying IoT infrastructure, and collecting data from equipment, systems, and operations. However, moving from data collection to effective use for Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and advanced analytics remains demanding and requires specialized infrastructure, expertise, and continuous management.

Through the new Managed Data Lake service, Space Hellas provides a fully managed data environment that supports the organization, storage, and use of operational data for Artificial Intelligence and advanced analytics applications. This approach enables organizations to focus on creating business value from their data while reducing the complexity of managing cloud infrastructure.

The service leverages modern data management technologies and provides high levels of security, flexibility, and interoperability. It enables organizations to work with their data through the tools of their choice while maintaining compliance with European data protection requirements.

The new capability is already being used in industrial environments, supporting the development of applications for anomaly detection in energy consumption, equipment condition monitoring, productivity optimization, and an AI Assistant for conversational access to production data.

“Our experience with industrial customers has clearly highlighted a gap. Companies have invested in IoT infrastructure and are collecting vast volumes of data, yet they often face challenges in using this data for AI and ML applications. With the new Data Lake managed service, we take this burden off our customers and provide them with a ready-to-use infrastructure that allows them to focus on developing their own AI tools rather than managing cloud infrastructures,” said Sokratis Kostikoglou, General Manager Applications & R&D, Space Hellas.

The expansion of the SenseOne Iot platform with the new Managed Data Lake service is part of Space Hellas’ strategic development in Applied Intelligence and IoT solutions. Following the full operational integration of its subsidiary SenseOne, its activities now form the central pillar of Space Hellas’ new Applied Intelligence & IoT Solutions Division, focused on developing innovative solutions for critical challenges in industry, energy, and smart infrastructure.
