The transition to 6G communications introduces various security and privacy concerns, such as protecting sensitive user data, securing ultra-low latency communication, defending against emerging cyber threats, and ensuring the integrity of network infrastructure. To address these challenges, MARE proposes a robust 6G service provisioning platform supported by a security plane that handles all security-related functionalities.
This platform will rely on a well-defined set of open, editable, and programmable security functions, offering a transparent, multi-domain approach to security and privacy provisioning. It will be designed to proactively assess and respond to threats in 6G networks by automatically proposing strategies to manage attacks, ensuring that the evolving demands of 6G are met with effective and dynamic solutions.
