E-government (short for electronic government) is the use of technological communications devices, such as computers and the Internet, to provide public services to citizens and other persons in a country or region. E-government offers new opportunities for more direct and convenient citizen access to government, and for government provision of services directly to citizens.
Space Hellas implemented important projects in the area such as:
- Provision of Hybrid Cloud Enabling Infrastructure and Services for Malta Information Technology Agency (MITA). The project consists on the procurement of a Hybrid Cloud solution enabling infrastructure and services, composed of an On-Premise private cloud deployed on a hyper-converged infrastructure hosted in MITA’s Data Centre, the procurement and use of cloud services from a Public Cloud, and the integration between the On-Premise private cloud and the Public Cloud. The building Blocks are: hyper-converged infrastructure and IaaS, software services, management and DevOps, operational and support services, security and controls, billing and usage metering.
- Syzeyxis- Development and upgrade of Public Sector's telecom infrastructure, for the Greek Ministry of Interior & Administrative Reconstruction. The project includes: the establishment of a National backbone network for Greek Public Administration named “SYZEFXIS”, providing telecommunications and telematics services for data exchange between different units of the Greek Public Sector, system design, procurement, installation and commission of equipment, operation services under SLA etc. At the moment the Phase II of the project is in going with more than 34.000 sites to be serviced.
- Ministry of Education: “Digital School” initiative, West Macedonia district. The projects consists of procurement, delivery installation and commissioning of various type of IT equipment, aiming to cover the need of several thousand of school in the specific area.
