Summary:

The energy crisis exposed the vulnerability and external dependence of the EU energy system, emphasising the imperative to bolster renewable energy sources (RES) integration.

It is necessary to transition from a centralised, fossil-fuel-dependent structure to a flexible, RES-based system. With this in mind, the EU-funded ODEON project introduces a pioneering federated technological framework, revolutionising the energy landscape and fostering collaboration for a resilient, data-driven future. Specifically, it introduces the ODEON Cloud-Edge Data and Intelligence Service Platform, to facilitate data, intelligence, service, and market flows. By creating an inclusive ecosystem, the project aims to foster collaboration among stakeholders.

With validation across demonstration sites in Denmark, France, Greece, Ireland and Spain, ODEON paves the way for a sustainable energy future.
