Environmental monitoring and protection are major requirements in order to sustain a healthy and secure life for the citizens.

In this context, Space Hellas is very active on this field, with important projects such as:

• National Electromagnetic Frequency (EMF) Monitoring Observatory for the Greek  Atomic Energy Commission (EEAE). In the frame of the project, Space Hellas delivered and installed central and peripheral ICT equipment, a new datacenter,  500 fixed  sensor stations, 13 mobile (on vehicle) stations, web portal, connectivity services, training, commissioning and maintenance services
• Development of a Meteorological Radar Network  for the Greek  National  Meteorological  Service. The project includes: installation of new meteorological radars (Preveza,  Chrysoupoli, Astypalea), upgrade of old radars (Andravida, Larisa, Thessaloniki,  Ymittos), implementation of data collection and processing centers, personnel training, extensive infrastructure works, telecommunications link connecting remote systems.
• Real-Time Data (Service Level Agreement) provision for Department of Meteorology Cyprus. The project includes: system design, site and infrastructure preparation services, procurement and installation of 2 Χ-band RDR-200GX/DP in Paphos and Larnaca sites, data collection and processing centers (Department of Meteorology), data and voice communication between the two sites, IT equipment for the two sites, all related infrastructure (towers, shelters, cabling, power, air condition etc.), all related services, including studies, project management, documentation, installation, commissioning, training and support, after sales support.
