Brief Description of the Project

Space Hella has migrated the OCTANT Ship Fleet Managements Platform and Service on Azure of Enthalpy Ltd. The OCTANT platform serves as a central information point for ship operators providing geographic information, weather, ocean currents, chlorophyll, spatial and temporal information, hazardous area information and ship routes. The platform provides opportunities for dynamic adjustment in the display of information and their grouping, as well as the possibility of a grid of actions per port, ship and part of the company.

Space Hellas migrated the Linux and Open Source DB environment to public Azure increasing the operational flexibility and scalability in the most cost-efficient manner using both a lift-and-shift  and rehost strategy.. By providing accurate discovery and assessment alongside end-to-end visibility into migration status, Space Hellas ensured that the process was handled in the most cost-efficient way, thanks to its cost optimization features and tools.
