Honorary distinction of SPACE HELLAS at the “2022 WITSA Global Innovation and Tech Excellence Awards”
SPACE HELLAS was distinguished at the 2022 WITSA as a Merit Winner in the “Public/Private Partnership Award (Public Sector)” category for the “Development of an integrated system for collecting and processing Passenger Name Records (PNR) data for the establishment of the Hellenic Passenger Information Unit (HPIU), in the Hellenic Police Intelligence Directorate (HPiD)” project, in the context of the World IT Conference “WCIT 2022”, held in Penang, Malaysia, on Wednesday September 14, 2022.
Τhe Executive President of SPACE HELLAS, Mr. Spyros D. Manolopoulos, stated: “Ιt is a great honor for our company to be recognized by the Global Innovation and Technology Services Association as a «Merit Winner» at the 2022 WITSA Global Innovation & Tech Excellence Awards, with the “Public/Private Partnership Award”, for the PNR project of the Hellenic Police. We are particularly proud of the worldwide recognition of this important project which we have implemented by leveraging our high expertise in a wide range of modern technologies, in the fields of communication networks, cyber security, application development, IT systems and physical security”.
The PNR project included, by the procurement of advanced equipment and software, the development of an integrated system for the collection, use, processing, and preservation of data contained in the passenger files of flights that land on or take off from Greek territory.
