The R&D Department has expanded its presence in the wide field of new technologies by realizing several pioneering projects, which are supported by both National and EU funding initiatives.
Space Hellas is member of eMOBILITY (the Mobile and Wireless Communications and Technology Platform) and Steering Council Member of ISI (Integral Satcom Initiative Technology Platform) that were launched under the 7th Framework Programme (FP7) of the European Commission. Space Hellas has participated, as full member, in the Task Force on Advanced Satellite Mobile Systems (ASMS-TF), an independent joint industrial-led body initiated by ESA and the EC, committed to the successful introduction and development of advanced (including 3G and beyond) satellite mobile communications systems and services. Space Hellas has held the vice chairmanship of ASMS-TF and ISI.
