Concise Description of the Project
The Commercial Bank has based its Data Communications Network on Space Hellas' products and know-how since many years ago.
The development and operation of this network do not constitute a self-existent and individual project, but a process of continuous development, upgrade, replacement and addition of equipment.
The initial network was based on Motorola Statistical Multiplexers and modems.
In the course of time changes in the network's technology and design took place along with its further development.
In 1998 the bank's large integrated data communications network was implemented, which is composed by the Core ATM network and the level of cumulation and the edge level.
In the Core network, Cisco Systems (former Stratacom) switches have been used.
At the level of cumulation as well as at the edge level, different types of routers of VMS (former Motorola) were used.
Until today a lot of additions, changes and upgrades in the network have been made.
